A big thanks to Emmy Toonen for featuring my blog in her article for Feeling Wonen-Gael Maison, Belgian interior decorating magazine.Emmy is one of those people that makes you laugh instantly... I would really love to grab a coffee with her someday....hm, maybe Belgian hot chocolate would be even better!

Wish you a great weekend!

taking risks in decorating

Ever since I saw this photo in Milk Decò few weeks ago, I became obsessed with the idea of  doing something similar in our bathroom. We have some 80's tiles , so one coat of paint can't harm.

Initially I made the same beighe but it reminded me too much of color of tights some old ladies love to wear here.So I added a little bit of red...in a worst case I can always submit photos  here ... hopefully not, fingers crossed :)

Le SAPE-Société des Ambianceurs et des Personnes Élégantes (Society of Tastemakers and Elegant People)

a bit of inspiration for my designer friends in black and gray, from a beautiful book Gentlemen of Bacongo by Daniele Tamagni

A Congolese Sapeur is a happy man even if he does not eat, because wearing proper clothes feeds soul and gives pleasure to the body.

their elegance and color sense feeds my soul, too.

bye bye trees

I was thinking a lot about writing this post or not.We are all watching these days people who lost their homes and their loved ones ,so losing a tree doesn't seem such a big deal.Still it doesn't make me less sad.Respectable expert informed us that six trees in front of our building are very ill and that there is a serious threat they will end up in our dining room while we are peacefully eating...here is what remains...I can't see a single sign of illness ...I even wanted to go downstairs and hug a fallen trees but I was too afraid I'd become a LOG LADY for my neighboors :)

the best mushrooms manage to get into the shop!

Have a nice weekend!

back from holidays and back to my mushrooms (shop will be updated on wednesday, if they agree, two of them commit the suicide by falling off my desk this morning, so we'll see)
A few picks from exibition about folk costumes of Eastern Europe, I couldn't take better photos but I hope you will be able to see this loborious work anyway
